George Westinghouse Signature Awards Honor Employees

Written by Lou Grobmyer | November 6, 2014

November 26, 2014 - Westinghouse employees are some of the best in the world. That’s why we have the George Westinghouse Signature Awards (GWSA), which honor and recognize individuals and teams of employees who demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in the projects they complete. This year, 314 Westinghouse employees from locations around the world were recognized for their commitment to technology leadership, operational excellence, customer intimacy and project impact.

This year’s award winners are being honored at special recognition events over the coming weeks. These hundreds of employees recognized through the GWSA program illustrate the top most levels of excellence we strive for every day at Westinghouse. Their talents and commitment to success make lasting contributions to Westinghouse and the larger nuclear energy industry.

Concurrent with the GWSA program, the Lifetime Achievement Award is an honor awarded to a Westinghouse employee who has shown a lifelong commitment to advancing the company and the nuclear energy industry. We’re proud of the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Theodore (Ted) A. Meyer. Ted recently retired as the chief engineer of the Engineering Services organization in the Engineering, Equipment & Major Projects product line. Since the start of his engineering career with Westinghouse in 1972, Ted has become a highly respected technical leader and mentor both within Westinghouse and in the industry as a whole.

Congratulations to all of this year’s George Westinghouse Signature Award winners! Everyone at Westinghouse is proud of your hard work and your many accomplishments. We’re honored to have employees that contribute to a company culture of dedication, leadership and success.
