CORE APPLICATIONS

We’ve listened to your needs, and determined a set of core applications that best fit your configuration management priorities.

WIRED

Automatic Cable Routing
AUTOMATIC CABLE ROUTING
Archivable File Generation
ARCHIVABLE FILE GENERATION
Construction Feedback
CONSTRUCTION FEEDBACK

The WIRED application is designed to be your NQA-1 electrical design and management system. WIRED performs numerous safety-related and non-safety related functions in the design, construction and operation of cable and
raceway systems, including:

  • Scheduling plant cables, wires and raceway
  • Routing cables while maintaining separation, segregation and heat removal requirements
  • Tracking and reporting installation status
  • Full electronic authoring and approval, removing cumbersome and costly paper approvals

WIRED has also been enabled with electrical system design features such as panel scheduling and electrical penetration assembly management.

What’s Next?

WIRED is being integrated into the Master Equipment List and WAND application to identify components, control schemes and unit applicability to facilitate an efficient flow-down of design attributes to tickets, reports and schedules while also tracking and maintaining change control.

WISDM

Automatic Unit Conversion
AUTOMATIC UNIT CONVERSION
Data design markup
DESIGN CHANGE MARKUP GENERATION
Streamlined Record Retention
STREAMLINED RECORD RETENTION

WISDM is a database application for managing fluid systems design information. The goal of this software is to:

  • Convert data from documentation to database format, which can be used as the verified quality record
  • Enable integration with other tools

The database application provides data validation, automatic unit conversion and ease of data manipulation that is not possible with paper documents. The software provides the capability to generate engineering design change markups while simultaneously updating the database, while tracking plant applicability of each change. The software can also generate documents for archiving in the quality record retention system in an efficient and timely manner.

What’s Next?

Future phases of WISDM will expand the scope of the database application to include other fluid systems design data, such as instrumentation and control information. Integration with other disciplines such as piping design and probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) is also being considered.
