Westinghouse Signs Additional Strategic Partnerships with Czech Firms to Build AP1000® Reactors at Dukovany Nuclear Site

Prague, Czech Republic, April 11, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with nine companies in the Czech Republic. The MOUs signed cover cooperation on the potential deployment of an AP1000® plant for the Dukovany 5 project as well as other potential AP1000 projects in Central Europe. These MOUs add to the seven agreements signed with local companies in the Czech Republic in January 2022.

The memorandums will establish cooperation with the following companies:

  • VALVEA s.r.o. produces valves, small modules and skids.
  • Hutní montáže, a.s., supplies and installs steel structures, installs technological equipment, and provides crane services.
  • Spálovský, a.s., specializes in instrumentation and control (LV and MV switchboards).
  • ARMATURY Group a.s., manufactures valves.
  • TES VSETÍN s.r.o. produces auxiliary equipment.
  • ELEKTROTECHNIKA, a.s., specializes in instrumentation and control.
  • ZVVZ GROUP, a.s., manufactures small modules and skids.
  • PPA Controll a.s, supplies automation and control and field instrumentation.
  • CHEMCOMEX, a.s., produces piping systems, assembly and disassembly of technological units and supplies steel structures.
