NETISHYN, UKRAINE, April 15, 2024 – Westinghouse Electric Company congratulates Energoatom, the state-owned nuclear utility of Ukraine, on the start of AP1000® activities at Khmelnytskyi Unit 5 in Ukraine. This is a critical first step in advancing the commitment made by both companies under the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2022 for the deployment of nine AP1000 reactors in Ukraine.

Sofia, Bulgaria, April 12, 2024 – Westinghouse Electric Company today signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with 17 significant Bulgarian suppliers to support the upcoming AP1000® nuclear projects at the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant site in northern Bulgaria, and other projects throughout the region. This milestone is a result of ongoing engagement with local suppliers following the Westinghouse Supplier Symposium held in February 2024 with Bulgarian companies.
