Kyiv, Ukraine - September 22, 2021 –Westinghouse Electric Company and NT-Engineering LLC Company announced today a signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to implement maintenance optimization and system repair projects for water-water energetic reactors (VVER), a milestone aiming at increasing the safety levels and performance of these reactors in Ukraine.

Ms. Cowan has been in the commercial nuclear industry for over 30 years, most recently as senior vice president of Holtec International and Chief Operating Officer of Holtec Decommissioning International. She takes over the business on September 21, following the retirement of the current president, David Howell.

Cranberry Township, PA – Westinghouse Electric Company and Energoatom, the state-owned nuclear utility of Ukraine, have signed an exclusive agreement to bring Westinghouse AP1000® reactors to multiple sites in Ukraine. The signing of the historic agreement took place at the Department of Energy Headquarters in Washington, DC, and was witnessed by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Honorable Jennifer Granholm, the United States Secretary of Energy, and the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
