Cranberry Township, PA – Feb. 21, 2023 – Westinghouse Electric Company announced today it has filed a Notice of Intent to submit key licensing reports for the eVinci™ microreactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission for joint review. The NRC and CNSC signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in 2019 to facilitate such technical reviews of advanced nuclear technologies.
Westinghouse and Kozloduy Sign Long-Term Partnership for Nuclear Fuel
Sofia, Bulgaria – Dec. 22, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) have signed a 10-year contract to fabricate and deliver VVER-1000 nuclear fuel for Unit 5. This new agreement guarantees reliable supply of the only fully Western option for VVER nuclear fuel fabrication.
Signing Cements Principles of Cooperation and Contracts
