Celebrating 140 years of Westinghouse means celebrating the minds behind the milestones – including our talent acquisition professionals who shape careers, cultivate talent and empower our people to do their best work. Their dedication behind the scenes fuels not only innovation but also the futures of those who make it possible.
Meet Dallas Frey, who joined Westinghouse right out of college in 1974 and retired in 2011 as Corporate Compensation & Benefits Director and HR Director for the Corporate Center organizations at our Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. He held leadership roles across campus recruiting, as well as talent development, staffing, compensation and benefits.

“Westinghouse has a terrific history of technological breakthroughs that have made this world a better place,” said Dallas. “When I started my Westinghouse career as an engineer, I worked on teams that supported the nuclear navy – such as submarines and aircraft carriers that continue to serve the naval fleet. The level of technical excellence Westinghouse delivers to that program, and what that program has delivered to the world, is something I take great pride in.”
He continues to give back through Westinghouse Service Uniting Retired Employees (SURE), volunteering alongside his wife on community efforts like food banks while splitting time between Florida and Pennsylvania.
“Westinghouse was full of great people. I felt lucky to be part of such amazing teams throughout my career. I loved working with people – whether I was a leader or a team member, I was simply happy to work with others,” said Dallas. “I always tried to find ways to help the team succeed. At Westinghouse, there were always opportunities to do that because there were always great people there.”
