June 23, 2017 - Westinghouse Senior Vice President, Human Resources Rob Massy recently shared these words with our incoming class of interns. More than 50 talented students from 31 colleges and universities across the United States have joined Westinghouse’s U.S. operations for our 2017 summer internship program. As the Director of Global Talent Acquisition, I echo Rob’s words in welcoming our interns to what I know will be a memorable experience.

Westinghouse interns are tasked with challenging objectives in order to solve global problems. They work on real-life projects happening in real-time with the guidance of strategic and innovative leaders. For many of our students this is an introduction to the nuclear industry. Westinghouse employees are proud of the global impact our work has in supporting clean energy and electricity and we are happy to offer our interns that same experience. We hope their time at Westinghouse inspires them to return and join us as they begin their careers.

As a company that strives each day to be the lead innovator of nuclear technology, we appreciate the fresh ideas and perspectives our interns bring to the table. Our internship program also provides Westinghouse with a pipeline of talent. We are proud to have offered many former interns full-time opportunities within the company, many of whom have grown into strong Westinghouse leaders.

While Westinghouse is honored to offer future generations an opportunity to explore the nuclear energy industry, we realize that we, too, are fortunate to have them with us. They chose Westinghouse with the intentions of learning and building their professional portfolio. In turn, Westinghouse will also be bold and intentional with our internship program, offering our students unique opportunities that have the power to change the industry and the world.
