Westinghouse is delighted to announce the opening of our new office on the West Lakes Science Park, in West Cumbria, to support our expanding business needs in the UK.

The new facilities include a collaboration zone, where we can engage with our clients, partners and supply chain, in a safe, effective, and attractive work environment.

Westinghouse delivers high value work to Sellafield, together with our partners in Cumbria Nuclear Solutions Limited (CNSL) and The Decommissioning Alliance through the Sellafield DDP frameworks. The office also supports our team’s delivery of critical programmes including; the Self-Shielded Boxes (SSB) contract to Sellafield First Generation Magnox Storage Pond (FGMSP), the Westinghouse Lead Fast Reactor project under BEIS AMR Phase 2, as well as projects to Dounreay and other UK nuclear sites.

Kirsty Armer, Director Westinghouse Government Services UK, opened the new office space, and was joined by Westinghouse employees to celebrate the event.

“We really wanted to create an enhanced and new collaborative environment for our teams to come back to after so long apart. West Cumbria is a strategically important region for Westinghouse, and we are delighted to continue to expand our business here,” said Kirsty Armer, Westinghouse Government Services Director. “This new office complements our facilities at our Springfields nuclear licensed site in Lancashire, where we are developing the UK’s Clean Energy Technology Park. The collaboration between our West Lakes and Springfields teams is going to be increasingly important in delivering our expanding decommissioning and nuclear material management offerings to the market.”
