RENEW™ Program for Low-Voltage Circuit Breakers

Categories: General Topics

As nuclear power plants reach 50-year milestones, many of their aging circuit breakers are reaching maximum life cycle count. In response, Westinghouse is introducing the RENEW™program, an innovative and practical solution for low-voltage circuit breakers that offers up to 50 percent cost savings as compared to complete circuit breaker replacement. With hundreds of circuit breakers installed in an individual plant, your utility could benefit from significant savings.

The RENEW™program is more than just an economic alternative to circuit breaker replacement. It is a service that moves beyond refurbishment by resetting the operating life of the component. While Westinghouse is improving the performance and reliability of your aging circuit breaker, we are also turning back the clock on its life cycle.

As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Westinghouse is the only supplier capable of resetting the operating clock to zero life cycles. Utilizing the original design basis, Westinghouse certifies circuit breakers to original qualifications—saving our customers costly engineering time.
