Westinghouse Names Stephane Cai Executive Vice President, Growth and Transformation

Cranberry Township, PA, October 21, 2019 – Westinghouse Electric Company (“Westinghouse”) announced that Stephane Cai has been named Executive Vice President, Growth and Transformation, effective today.

By creating a lean organization focused on delivering quality and value to our clients, we have reframed the way we approach our business,” said Patrick Fragman, Westinghouse president and chief executive officer. “We are now embarking on a transformation journey in which we fully deploy our growth strategy as a market leader providing industry-leading innovations; Stephane will lead us on this path.”

Cai joins Westinghouse from General Electric’s Grid Solutions business, where he successively held the roles of Vice President, High Voltage Products & Global Supply Chain, Vice President, Global Regions and lastly, Vice President, Grid Automation. Prior to his roles at Grid Solutions, Cai was with Alstom for 27 years, where he started as a field commissioning engineer for nuclear and fossil power plants, and held a series of increasingly responsible engineering and product management roles in the Turbine business. Following Cai’s time in operations, he progressed through a series of marketing and business development leadership positions before returning to Alstom’s operations in both hydro and nuclear power generation.

Cai is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris, France, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Fluid Mechanics. He also holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, France.
