Cranberry Township, Pa, February 22, 2017 –Westinghouse Electric Company has signed a Cooperation Agreement for lead-cooled fast reactor (LFR) technology development with the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) and Ansaldo Nucleare. The agreement demonstrates each party’s commitment to collaborating toward the development of a next-generation nuclear plant based on LFR technology, which is both “walk-away” safe and economically competitive across global energy markets.

MADRID, February 21, 2018 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Electricité de France (EDF), in partnership, announced today that they have been awarded a contract from Empresa Nacional de Residuos Radiactivos (ENRESA), the Spanish agency responsible for radioactive waste management and nuclear plant decommissioning.

Cranberry Township, Pa. – Feb. 12, 2018 – Westinghouse Electric Company today announced it has been awarded a 10-year integrated outage services contract by Xcel Energy for its fleet of nuclear plants in Minnesota – two pressurized water reactor units at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant in Red Wing, Minnesota and a single-unit boiling water reactor at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant in Monticello, Minnesota.
