eVinci™ Microreactor Team Closes Out 2022 with Milestone Achievement

The microreactor team last month submitted two important topical reports to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and 24 white papers during 2022, on critical aspects of the technology and design

Bringing advanced nuclear technology to communities that need clean, reliable electricity doesn’t just happen. The process involves research and development in the lab as well as interactions with the technology’s licensing authority, in this case the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Those interactions are vital to receiving design certification and an operating license—the ultimate goal.

AP1000® reactor has the energy to bring us together

It was a truly remarkable statement, for its breadth and its accuracy.

Following the announcement Nov. 2 by the Polish Council of Ministers that Westinghouse Electric Company would supply three AP1000® reactors for Poland’s developing nuclear energy program, U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski said, “This project represents 100 years of new strategic cooperation between the United States and Poland, including the development and construction phase, the operating life of the plants and their future decommissioning.”

In 2022, we recognized a total of 32 projects supported by 198 of our global colleagues whose creativity and innovative thinking is helping to shape the world.
Through this program, we also recognize the George Westinghouse Lifetime Achievement Awardees are selected for their proven technical excellence, keen business acumen and unwavering commitment to the development of others.
