The Westinghouse Emergency Response Team visited Gadsden Elementary School and Horrell Hill Elementary School to share some life saving tips with the students on fire prevention and safety. The students learned important techniques about what they should and should not do in the event of a fire and how to stay safe during these types of situations.

Attendees from the Lower Richland Community participated in fun events and received giveaways from Westinghouse in addition to healthcare and senior safety information. There were also several Westinghouse retirees in attendance who were eager to show their Westinghouse pride.

Westinghouse participated in the South Carolina Virtual Charter School’s (SCVCS) Back to School Bash. The successful event featured several businesses from South Carolina that provided information about their organizations and hand-on activities for the teachers, students, and their parents. Virtual students and their families were able to learn about Westinghouse and the significant impact of nuclear energy.
