Longsworth joined WGS in June 2021, bringing more than 35 years of experience in nuclear energy, national security and environmental industries. Previously, he served as Vice President, Secure Services at Flour, and was the Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation at the U.S. Department of Energy. He takes over the business following the retirement of Bob Cochran.

Project Creates Roadmap for Future Digital Safety System Upgrades
Cranberry Township, PA, October 21, 2021 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed an instrumentation and control (I&C) modernization contract with Exelon Generation for its boiling water reactor (BWR) units at the Limerick Generating Station. The implementation of the contract will mark the first fully digitalized safety system in a U.S. BWR plant.

As Part of the Company's Growth Strategy in Outage, Engineering and Digital Services
Madrid, Spain, October 4, 2021 –Westinghouse Electric Company has signed a definitive agreement with Iberdrola and Naturgy to acquire 50% of Tecnatom. This acquisition advances the company’s strategy to expand its technical nuclear outage, engineering, and digital services capabilities worldwide. Once completed, Westinghouse will co-own and co-manage Tecnatom with Endesa through a joint venture.

HELSINKI, FINLAND, March 9, 2020 – Today, Westinghouse Electric Company signed a long-term contract with the Finnish nuclear power company Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) for deliveries of control rods to their two boiling water reactors (BWRs), Olkiluoto 1 and 2, through 2038. TVO will utilize Westinghouse’s optimized CR 99+ design to extend the operational life of the control rods.
VÄSTERÅS, Sweden, October 29, 2019 – Westinghouse Electric Company announced today that it has signed a long-term contract with Finnish nuclear power company Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) for deliveries of nuclear fuel to their two boiling water reactors, Olkiluoto 1 and 2 through 2038. Under the terms of the contract, TVO intends to implement TRITON11® fuel, the latest fuel innovation from Westinghouse for boiling water reactors.
