Agreement combines industry leadership in electrolyzer technology with proven nuclear expertise

Cranberry Township, PA and San Jose, Calif. – June 6, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) today announced that they have entered into a Letter of Intent to pursue clean hydrogen production in the commercial nuclear power market. The companies are teaming to identify and implement clean hydrogen projects across the nuclear industry.

• Major agreement signed with Energoatom to supply all nuclear fuel to the Ukrainian installed fleet

Cranberry Township, PA – June 3, 2022 - Westinghouse Electric Company and Energoatom, the state-owned nuclear utility of Ukraine, have signed expanded agreements for Westinghouse to supply all nuclear fuel for the Energoatom operating fleet in Ukraine and increase the number of AP1000® plants Energoatom intends to build from five to nine units. The two companies also affirmed their intention to establish a Westinghouse Engineering Center in Ukraine to support the planned AP1000 reactor projects, as well as Energoatom’s operating fleet and future decommissioning program.

Research and Development Would Advance the Small Modular Reactors, a Proposed Sustainable Energy Solution

Cranberry Township, PA, May 19, 2022 – Penn State and Westinghouse announced that they will partner on research and development efforts focused on exploring and applying nuclear engineering and science innovations to societal needs. They will also begin discussions about siting Westinghouse’s eVinci™ micro reactor, a next-generation, small modular reactor designed to address sustainable power needs from immediate use in large communities to decentralized remote applications, at University Park. They signed a memorandum of understanding detailing the partnership at Westinghouse headquarters in Cranberry yesterday (May 18).
