Cranberry Township, PA, September 28, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed a definitive agreement to sell the Power Delivery business of BHI Energy Co. (BHI) to United Utility Services, a portfolio company of Bernhard Capital Partners. The Power Delivery business provides industry-leading specialty services in design, construction, maintenance and storm restoration to the transmission and distribution (T&D) end markets.
Cranberry Township, PA, September 27, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed a service agreement with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission to bring its eVinci™ microreactor closer to commercialization. The agreement initiates a Vendor Design Review (VDR) which is a pre-licensing technical assessment of the eVinci microreactor design. Westinghouse will execute both Phases 1 and 2 of the VDR as a combined program, signaling the eVinci microreactor’s design and technology maturity.
Warsaw, Poland, September 22, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed Memoranda of Understanding with 22 companies in Poland. The MoUs, signed in the presence of the U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzeziński allow for cooperation on the potential construction of AP1000® reactors in the first Polish nuclear power plant and other potential AP1000 plant projects in Central Europe.
Cranberry Township, PA, September 21, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company welcomed more than 20 government and industry leaders from around the world today to tour the AP1000® Plant Control Room Simulator at the company’s headquarters. Westinghouse was honored to be selected as an official site visit of the 2022 Global Clean Energy Action Forum being held in Pittsburgh.
Cranberry Township, PA – September 12, 2022 – Westinghouse Electric Company received confirmation from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that its Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) operating license is renewed for an additional 40 years. The license extends Westinghouse’s operations at the Richland County facility until 2062.
