Memorandum of Understanding Supports Deployment of AP1000® and AP300™ Technology in Canada and Globally

Peterborough, Ontario, July 8, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Eclipse Automation, part of Accenture, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support nuclear new-build projects in Canada and globally.

The contract includes the assembly of the fusion reactor’s vacuum vessel, a key milestone which gets the project closer to replicating fusion energy on Earth 

Cranberry Township, PA, June 30, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company and ITER signed a contract for $180 million for the assembly of the vacuum vessel for the fusion reactor. This is a key milestone in the construction of the ITER reactor, leading the way toward the use of fusion as a practical future source of reliable carbon-free energy.

Agreement Supports Large Reactor Deployment Following Two-Year Feasibility Study

Espoo, Finland, June 23, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed an Early Works Agreement with Fortum Corporation (FORTUM.HE), a Nordic energy company, for the possible deployment of an advanced AP1000® reactor. The work will support Fortum in developing new nuclear as a long-term option to meet rising customer demand in the Nordics.
