Westinghouse to Acquire U.K. Inspection Company Inspection Consultants Limited

Cranberry Township, PA, January 8, 2020 – Westinghouse Electric Company today announced the acquisition of Inspection Consultants Limited (InCon), a leading U.K.-based provider of inspection services. This acquisition strengthens Westinghouse’s ability to support the existing operating nuclear fleet, as well as in-service inspection customers outside of the nuclear industry.

Westinghouse Signs Long-term Contract With TVO for Nuclear Fuel Deliveries

VÄSTERÅS, Sweden, October 29, 2019 – Westinghouse Electric Company announced today that it has signed a long-term contract with Finnish nuclear power company Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) for deliveries of nuclear fuel to their two boiling water reactors, Olkiluoto 1 and 2 through 2038. Under the terms of the contract, TVO intends to implement TRITON11® fuel, the latest fuel innovation from Westinghouse for boiling water reactors.

These efficiencies can provide important reductions in costs to customers while promoting growth in manufacturing within the UK, an important part of Westinghouse’s SMR program.
