Krakow, Poland, September 9, 2021 – Westinghouse Electric Company today officially opened its Global Shared Services Center in Krakow. With this new facility, Poland becomes a global services hub for the company. Located in Zablocie Business Park B, the facility will have nearly 160 highly qualified employees from seven business functions that will work to support the company's global operations.

The signing of the historic agreement took place at the Department of Energy Headquarters in Washington, DC, and was witnessed by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Honorable Jennifer Granholm, the United States Secretary of Energy, and the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.

Solna, Sweden, August 17, 2021 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Vattenfall are extending their long-standing nuclear energy partnership into decommissioning activities through a new agreement. As part of the arrangement, Westinghouse will segment and dispose of the reactor internals and pressure vessels at Ringhals 1, a Boiling Water Reactor, and Ringhals 2, a Pressurized Water Reactor. The two reactors were built by Westinghouse and have delivered carbon-free energy to Sweden and northern Europe for more than four decades.
