These transitions begin today, with Michele DeWitt becoming interim senior vice president of the organization, which includes the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) in Columbia, S.C.

PITTSBURGH, July 24, 2016 – In October, 2015, Westinghouse entered into a Purchase Agreement with Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. (CB&I) for the acquisition of CB&I Stone & Webster Inc., CB&I’s nuclear construction and integrated services businesses by Westinghouse. On July 21, 2016, CB&I initiated a legal proceeding against Westinghouse in Delaware Chancery Court with respect to the post-closing reconciliation process.

PITTSBURGH, July 12, 2016 – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has selected Westinghouse Electric Company and its research partners to receive $8 million in research awards over the next three years to fund a series of projects. Beijing, July 2, 2016 – Westinghouse Electric Company has successfully completed another significant milestone toward achieving nth-of-a-kind delivery for the AP1000 nuclear power plant program.
On July 2, Haiyang Unit 1 in Shandong Province successfully completed its cold hydrostatic test (CHT), further confirming safety and quality design features of the innovative nuclear power plant under construction in China. The achievement came approximately one month after Sanmen 1 completed its CHT on May 25.
