This acquisition advances the company’s strategy to expand its technical nuclear outage, engineering, and digital services capabilities worldwide. Once completed, Westinghouse will co-own and co-manage Tecnatom with Endesa through a joint venture.
Kyiv, Ukraine, September 22, 2021 – Westinghouse Electric Company and NT-Engineering LLC Company announced today a signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to implement maintenance optimization and system repair projects for water-water energetic reactors (VVER), a milestone aiming at increasing the safety levels and performance of these reactors in Ukraine.

She takes over the business on September 21, following the retirement of the current president, David Howell.

With this new facility, Poland becomes a global services hub for the company. Solna, Sweden, August 17, 2021 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Vattenfall are extending their long-standing nuclear energy partnership into decommissioning activities through a new agreement. As part of the arrangement, Westinghouse will segment and dispose of the reactor internals and pressure vessels at Ringhals 1, a Boiling Water Reactor, and Ringhals 2, a Pressurized Water Reactor. The two reactors were built by Westinghouse and have delivered carbon-free energy to Sweden and northern Europe for more than four decades.
Cranberry Township, PA, July 21, 2021 – Westinghouse Electric Company has been awarded several integrated outage and refueling service contract extensions from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), who's fleet generates enough low-cost, clean and reliable energy to power more than 4.5 million homes and businesses in the Tennessee Valley and surrounding areas. Under the terms of the agreement, Westinghouse will continue to deliver world-class outage support to the Sequoyah and Watts Bar nuclear plants beginning in the fall 2021 outage season.
