Cranberry Township, PA – Feb. 21, 2023 – Westinghouse Electric Company announced today it has filed a Notice of Intent to submit key licensing reports for the eVinci™ microreactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission for joint review. The NRC and CNSC signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in 2019 to facilitate such technical reviews of advanced nuclear technologies.

Petr has served as CEO and in other senior executive roles with multiple international companies including Skoda Transportation, Alstom, OHL ZS, General Electric and ABB. In 2021, Petr was named one of the top Czech CEOs of the Year by Forbes magazine.

Westinghouse to Lead Decommissioning Project in Lithuania and Dismantle RBMK Reactors in an Industry First

Cranberry Township, PA – Jan. 11, 2023 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed an agreement with Ignalinos Atominé Elektriné (IAE) to dismantle the two RBMK-1500 nuclear power reactors at Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Visaginas Municipality, Lithuania. This project is the first decommissioning of an RBMK reactor.
