Cranberry Township, PA, June 14, 2023 – Westinghouse Electric Company today announced it signed a Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract with Bulgaria’s Kozloduy NPP-Newbuild for a new AP1000® reactor to be located at the Kozloduy site. Work is commencing per the agreement to assess Bulgarian industry and the existing infrastructure at the Kozloduy site for its potential to support the construction of an AP1000 reactor.
Helsinki, Finland, June 7, 2023 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Finland’s Fortum today announced the signing of Memoranda of Understanding to study the possibilities for the development and deployment of AP1000® and AP300™ reactor projects in Finland and Sweden. The MOUs establish a framework of collaboration for detailed technical and commercial discussions and explore cooperation on the next steps to implement Westinghouse reactor technologies in both countries.
Warsaw, Poland – May 25, 2023 – Westinghouse Electric Company, Bechtel and Polish utility Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe today signed an agreement defining the principles of the parties' cooperation in the design and construction of Poland's first nuclear power plant.
