Westinghouse Receives Regulatory Approval for Analysis Methodologies

PITTSBURGH – Oct. 20, 2017 – Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for two new important analysis methodologies that will be used to upgrade Westinghouse- and Combustion Engineering-based nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) safety analyses.

Westinghouse Installs Largest Precision Water Jet Machining Center in the Northeastern United States

NEWINGTON, NEW HAMPSHIRE, Oct. 6, 2017 – Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has installed the largest state-of-the-art precision water jet machining center in the region at its Nuclear Components Manufacturing (NCM) facility in Newington, N.H. The precision water jet machining center comes as part of investments in factory upgrades that enable rapid, cost-competitive delivery of manufactured components to its customers.
   

Westinghouse and Ukraine Firm Turboatom Sign Extended Partnership Contract

KIEV, September 28, 2017 - Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has signed an extended Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ukrainian company PJSC Turboatom, in partnership to coordinate and cooperate on increasing the capacity of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants. Turboatom is one of the world's leading companies in designing and manufacturing turbines for nuclear, thermal and hydro power plants.

Westinghouse Wins Contract to Dismantle Reactor Coolant Systems at Bohunice V1 Units

Bratislava, Slovakia, September 27, 2017 ­­– Today Westinghouse Electric Company announced they have signed a contract with Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť (JAVYS) for the dismantling of the reactor coolant systems of two VVER-440 units at the Bohunice V1 Nuclear Power Plant in Slovakia. The project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
