PITTSBURGH: October 4, 2016 – Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC has signed a definitive agreement with AZZ Inc. to acquire Nuclear Logistics Inc. (NLI), the largest third-party supplier of safety-related equipment solutions to the nuclear industry. The acquistion supports Westinghouse’s global commitment to develop practical, long-term solutions that deliver customer value for new construction and operating plants.
KIEV, September 30, 2016 – Today, Westinghouse Electric Company and NAEK Energoatom, the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine, released a joint statement discussing the companies’ future partnership to sustain the safety of Ukraine’s nuclear reactor fleet. The statement was issued during a visit to Kiev by a special delegation of chief executive officers, including Westinghouse’s Interim President and CEO Jose Gutierrez, led by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and the U.S. Department of Commerce.

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 29, 2016 – Westinghouse Electric Company recently provided the community of Columbia, South Carolina (USA) information related the completion of activities outlined in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) confirmatory action letter (CAL) issued on August 11, 2016. The information was provided during a public meeting hosted by the NRC on Sept. 27.

Jenkinsville, S.C., August 31, 2016 – Westinghouse Electric Company’s successful placement of the reactor vessel into the nuclear island of the AP1000 Unit 2 at the V.C. Summer site on Aug. 30 marks a major shift in the project from solely structural work to assembly of the unit’s reactor system itself, including pumps, piping and cabling.
